A Dean Winter Labor Government will deliver another TassieDoc clinic in Devonport.
One of Tasmania’s 100% free GP clinics will be located at Devonport - ensuring more Tasmanians can get the care they need, when they need it. All you’ll need is your Medicare card.
This is part of Labor’s broader plan to open five fully bulk-billed clinics across the state. The clinic will operate with extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and will offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
The Albanese Labor Government’s Urgent Care Clinics have taken pressure off emergency departments, but a Dean Winter Labor Government will ensure Tasmanians can see a regular doctor for free.
TassieDoc will be run by a State Labor Government and be supported by the Federal Labor Government’s increased investment in Medicare - because delivering better health outcomes is in Labor's DNA.
A Tasmanian family could save around $650 a year on GP visits – meaning TassieDoc will deliver real cost of living relief as well as easier access to healthcare.
A Dean Winter Labor Government will also invest in the workforce to make this plan work – offering scholarships for midwives and incentives to recruit and retain doctors across the state – ensuring quality care is available in every community.
After 11 years of the Liberals, Tasmanians shouldn’t have to wait any longer to see a doctor for free. It’s time for a fresh start and Labor is ready to deliver it.
