Archer’s hypocrisy on health cuts

Bridget Archer has some gall attacking health cuts while she is ripping $700 million out of Tasmania’s health system.

She literally cut State funding to Palliative Care Tasmania in this budget.

After 13 years of Liberal waste, Premier Rockliff has put Eric Abetz in charge of cutting jobs and services to pay for it - and Bridget Archer is letting him do it.

She is cutting health services, breaking promises to cancer patients in the North West, delaying desperately needed mental health beds, and still pretending there are “no cuts to health”.

Older Tasmanians deserve dignity, comfort, and proper care at the end of their lives.

But they also deserve a Health Minister who will stand up for them, not one who points the finger at Canberra while swinging the axe at home.

Bridget Archer should stop the spin and explain why she is backing Eric Abetz’s $700 million cut to Tasmania’s health system.
