Why has the Premier hidden Eric Abetz?

Once a mainstay of the Liberal media rotation, Eric Abetz has been notably absent of late.

Is it because his archaic views on conversion therapy are too strong for even the Liberals?

Or is the Treasurer still too bitter after being overlooked as Premier Rockliff’s successor for Bridget Archer?

More likely, the Premier has put Abetz in the freezer to cool down the heat on the $1.5 billion dollars-worth of cuts the Treasurer is making to the services Tasmanians rely on.

It was the Premier himself who put Eric Abetz in charge of cutting services and sacking workers to pay for 13 years of Liberal waste.

Tasmanians are already suffering the consequences of that decision with Abetz cutting things like educational support for students with disability and promised funding for a cancer hospital in the North-West.

No amount of hiding Abetz from the media will make Tasmanians forget it was the Premier who gave the Treasurer the knife.
